Try this as a taco filling or a sandwich. It’s also great over rice.
Ingredients
- 5-lb pork shoulder with bone
- 1½ cup barbeque sauce
- ¾ cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 2 chopped onions
- 5 minced garlic cloves
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 4 teaspoons liquid smoke
How to Make It
- Place the pork shoulder in the slow cooker.
- Combine the remaining ingredients in a bowl and pour over the pork. Cook on low for 10 hours.
- One hour before the pork is done, remove from slow cooker and shred the meat using 2 forks.
- Return the meat to the slow cooker for 10 minutes.
