Ingredients
- 1 large onion, chopped (1 cup)
- 1 medium green sweet pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces (1 cup)
- 1 stalk celery, sliced (½ cup)
- ½ cups water
- 1 medium smoked turkey drumstick, skin and bone removed and meat chopped (about 4 cups)
- 1 cup uncooked bulgur
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- 1 medium zucchini, coarsely chopped (1-1⁄2 cups)
- 1 Tbsp snipped fresh sage
How to Make It
- Coat an unheated 4-quart slow cooker with cooking spray. Place onion, sweet pepper, and celery in the prepared cooker. Stir in the water, turkey, bulgur, and black pepper.
- Cover and cook on low-heat setting for 2-½ hours. Stir in zucchini and snipped sage. Cover and cook for 30 minutes more.
