Ingredients
- 500 g Penne
- 500 g chopped tomatoes in their own juice
- 1 medium onion
- 3 cloves of garlic
- 1 hot red chili pepper
- 4 sprigs of Basil
- 2 tbsp olive oil "extra virgin"
- salt, freshly ground black pepper
How to Make It
- Garlic-crush, peel and chop. Pepper if desired, remove the seeds, cut into thin half-rings. Onion naredite small cubes.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil. Put the onion and fry on medium heat until Golden brown, 5-7 minutes. Add the garlic and chilli, fry for another 2 min.
- Add the tomatoes with juice and 0.5 cups of cold water. Stir and simmer on minimum heat for 30 min. at the same time boil Penne according to package instructions in plenty of salted boiling water, drain in a colander. Stir in the sauce and chopped Basil leaves. Add the Penne to the pan, stir and serve immediately.
