Cocktail parties were all the rage in the ’50s, and while the variety of appetizers from Rumaki to a Party Cheese Ball often took center stage, it’s impossible to have cocktail parties without Mad Men–era cocktails, like this classic!
Ingredients
- 2 ounces bourbon (or rye)
- 1½ teaspoons simple syrup
- 2–3 dashes Angostura bitters, to taste Ice
- 1 orange slice
- 3 Luxardo cherries
How to Make It
- Combine the bourbon, simple syrup, and bitters in a glass and stir to combine. Add the ice, then add the orange slice and Luxardo cherries.
- Let the drink sit for a few minutes or give it a little shake to let the flavors of the orange and cherries seep into the bourbon. Drink and enjoy.
