Smoked salmon can be expensive, but cheaper packages of salmon trimmings work well for this recipe.
Ingredients
- 7 oz (200 g) low-fat cream cheese, at room temperature
- 7 oz (200 g) smoked salmon trimmings, very finely chopped
- ½ finely grated lemon juice and zest
- 2 tbsp chopped chives
- freshly ground black pepper
- crackers and cucumber sticks, to serve
For a Gluten-free option
- use gluten-free crackers
How to Make It
- Place the cream cheese in a mixing bowl and break it up with a fork until smooth. Stir in the salmon, lemon zest and juice, chives, and plenty of pepper.
- Transfer to a serving dish, cover with plastic wrap, and chill until ready to serve.
- Spread the pâté on crackers and serve with cucumber sticks.
