If a savory dessert sounds crazy to you, think about the tradition in some cultures to finish a meal with a cheese course. I just morphed the cheese course into a dessert that really and truly tastes like a slice of cheese pizza . . . but without the cheese! I developed this dessert in response to my clients’ request for a savory “fat bomb”–type dessert or treat that would help them get into ketosis fast and that has no sweeteners so they could kick their sweet tooth.
Ingredients
- ¾ cup plus 2 tablespoons coconut oil (or unsalted butter if not dairy-sensitive)
- ¼ cup MCT oil
- 4 large eggs
- 4 large egg yolks
- ½ cup pizza sauce
- ½ teaspoon fine sea salt
- ¼ teaspoon finely chopped garlic, or 2 cloves roasted garlic

How to Make It
- In a blender, combine the coconut oil, MCT oil, eggs, egg yolks, pizza sauce, salt, and garlic and blend until very smooth.
- Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn, following the manufacturer’s instructions, until almost fully churned. Gradually add the pizza add-ins of your choice and let mix until fully combined. Serve immediately or transfer to a container and freeze for up to 1 month.
