Naan is an oven-baked flatbread from South Asia and is particularly popular in India. My keto version is fried instead, but it still works great for picking up food instead of using utensils. It makes for a fun dinner….unless you are in charge of cleanup!
Ingredients
How to Make It
- Whip the egg whites in a clean, dry, nonreactive metal bowl for a few minutes, until very stiff. Blend in the yolks, cream of tartar, protein powder, and curry powder, if using.
- Heat the coconut oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until a drop of water sizzles in the pan. Once it is hot, place a 3-inch circle of dough in the pan. Fry for about 3 to 5 minutes, until golden brown, then flip and fry for another 3 to 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Repeat with the remaining dough.
