It’s easy to use this basic recipe to create different flavored shakes. Simply omit the cocoa powder and replace the vanilla extract with another extract, like mint, banana, or strawberry. You can also make convenient single-serving portions for busy mornings.
Ingredients
- ¾ cup plus 2 tablespoons coconut oil (or unsalted butter if not dairy-sensitive)
- ¼ cup MCT oil, avocado oil, or macadamia nut oil
- 2 cups water or unsweetened (unflavored or vanilla) hemp milk (or unsweetened [unflavored or vanilla] almond milk, store-bought or homemade, if not nut-sensitive)
- 4 whole large eggs plus 4 large egg yolks (or 4 ounces/½ cup cream cheese if not dairy-sensitive)
- ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
