Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- ½ small onion, finely chopped
- ½ cup bread crumbs
- 1 large egg
- ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- Kosher salt and black pepper
- 1 cup currant jelly
- Smashed potatoes and chopped fresh dill, for serving
How to Make It
- Combine the beef, onion, bread crumbs, egg, nutmeg, ½ tablespoon salt, and 1 teaspoon pepper. Shape into 1-inch balls.
- Boil the meatballs until cooked through, 5 to 6 minutes.
- Heat the jelly in a large skillet; add the meatballs and toss to coat. Serve the meatballs with smashed potatoes, sprinkled with dill.
