These bars are beautiful enough to serve at parties, but you can have them at home, too. You may find yourself doubling the recipe after your family tries them for the first time.
Ingredients
- 1 x 18-oz tube of sugar cookie dough, refrigerated
- 1 x 8-oz pkg of softened cream cheese
- 1 cup of sour cream
- ¼ cup of sugar, granulated
- 1 lightly beaten egg, large
- ½ tsp of vanilla extract, pure
- 1 x 12-oz jar of preserves, strawberry
How to Make It
- Slice the cookie dough in 25 slices. Arrange on ungreased 9x13” casserole dish. Move them close together.
- Bake for 16-20 minutes on 375F till lightly browned.
- Beat sugar, cream cheese and sour cream together in large sized bowl till mixture is smooth. Beat in the vanilla and egg.
- Spread the preserves over crust while it is still warm. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the preserves evenly.
- Bake for 20-30 minutes, till toothpick inserted in middle comes back clean. Cool on wire rack. Slice into bars. Serve.
