Ingredients
- 1 lb extra-lean ground beef
- 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables
- 1 cup diced green sweet pepper
- 0.33 cup no-salt-added tomato paste (½ of a 6-oz. can)
- 2 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- ¾ tsp salt
- 8 reduced-calorie whole grain hamburger buns
How to Make It
- In a large nonstick skillet cook ground beef until meat is browned. In a 1-½-quart slow cooker combine cooked beef, frozen vegetables, sweet pepper, tomato paste, balsamic vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, and salt.
- Cover and cook on low-heat setting for 4 hours or on high-heat setting for 2 hours.
- To serve, spoon about ½ cup beef mixture onto each bun bottom. Add bun tops.
