Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 stick (8 tbsp) butter, melted
- ½ cup corn syrup
- ½ cup water
- 1 cup diced onion
- 4 garlic gloves, minced
- 2 cups prepared barbecue sauce
- 15 chicken tenders
Spice Rub For Chicken Tenders
- 2 tbsp dried parsley
- 2 tsp dried dill
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- ¼ tsp cayenne pepper
- 2 tsp salt
- 2 tsp pepper
How to Make It
- Add the sugar, butter, corn syrup, ½ cup water, onion, garlic, and barbecue sauce to the Instant Pot. Stir everything together.
- Pressure cook on high for 10 minutes, letting the steam release naturally.
- When the steam has released, transfer the sauce to a bowl and add the chicken tenders to the Instant Pot with 1 cup water. Secure the lid and pressure cook on high for 5 minutes, letting the pressure release naturally.
- When the steam has released, remove the lid and transfer the chicken tenders to a large bowl. Sprinkle with 1 tbsp. of the spice rub (recipe below) and toss to coat.

- Combine all of the ingredients in a small bowl and mix together. Use as needed.
