So simple to make, yet looks and tastes so special!
Ingredients
- 1 qt half-and-half
- 1 loaf Italian bread, cubed
- 3 eggs
- 1-½ c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp almond extract
- 1 cup golden raisins
- ¾ cup sliced almonds
How to Make It
- In a large bowl, pour half-and-half over bread and stir gently. Cover and refrigerate 30 minutes to one hour. In a separate bowl, beat eggs until they begin to foam.
- Add sugar; mix well. Stir in almond extract, raisins and almonds. Add to bread mixture and mix well. Pour into a lightly greased 13"x 9" baking pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 50 minutes. Serve warm with Amaretto Sauce.
