The cheekbone.
Zygoma, or zygomatic bone. The name given to a bridge of bone formed by the union of a process from the temporal bone in the skull with one from the malar (cheek) bone. It lies in the region of the temple, gives attachment to the powerful masseter muscle which moves the lower jaw, and forms a protection to the side of the head.
The long arch that joins the zygomatic processes of the temporal and malar bones on the sides of the skull.
The structure created by the connection between the temporal bone and the zygomatic bone, often referred to as the cheekbone.
