Virus transmission

The dissemination of a virus from a contaminated host to an uninfected one usually occurs through the involvement of an alternate organism, known as the vector. This vector is frequently an insect or a nematode, although it can also be a mite, fungus, parasitic flowering plant, and other similar organisms. In addition, transmission can also take place through direct contact, such as rubbing leaves or stems together or via root grafts.
