A now outdated approach to full-wave rectification involved the utilization of charged capacitors in a system that was developed from a 100 kV transformer and later upgraded to 200 kV for therapy tubes. This rectification method, which has become obsolete, aimed to convert alternating current (AC) into a pulsating direct current (DC) by employing capacitors to store and discharge electrical energy. However, advancements in rectification technology have rendered this particular system outdated and replaced by more efficient and modern alternatives.
