Urinary frequency

Greater than normal frequency of the urge to void without an increase in the total daily volume of urine; it is associated with inflammation of the bladder or urethra or dysfunction in the bladder, and is often accompanied by burning and discomfort. Treatment depends on the cause.

An abnormal increase in the number of times a person needs to urinate, often accompanied by greater urgency and discomfort or pain. Urinary frequency can result from excessive fluid intake, particularly of alcoholic or caffeinated beverages; infection of the bladder; pregnancy; enlarged prostate gland; diabetes; calculi (stones) in the urinary tract; certain medications, such as diuretics; or radiation therapy for the lower pelvis. Treatment depends on the cause.

Feeling the urge to urinate even when urination has occurred very recently.
