Ultrasound treatment

The treatment of soft tissue inflammation using ultrasound waves.

The use of sound waves to produce heat internally to treat an injured joint or muscle and other musculoskeletal conditions. The deep heat promotes healing by increasing blood flow to the affected area. Ultrasound treatment is sometimes used in physical therapy.

High-frequency sound waves are employed to treat soft-tissue injuries, including damage to ligaments, muscles, and tendons. This ultrasound treatment effectively diminishes inflammation and accelerates the healing progression. It is believed to function by enhancing blood circulation within tissues beneath the skin.
