Spacer device

A plastic device employed to assist in the dispensation of medications from metered-dose inhalers as a component of asthma and other respiratory ailment treatments. The inhaler’s mouthpiece is fitted into one end of the spacer, while the user’s mouth is sealed firmly over the opposite end. During dosage administration, the inhaler is compressed, allowing the drug to enter the air within the spacer. Subsequently, the user breathes in and out slowly, drawing the drug particles into their lungs. A valve ensures that gas remains within the spacer except while being inhaled through the mouthpiece. Spacers are particularly beneficial for individuals who struggle with coordinating their breaths while activating an inhaler.
