Those organs, functioning in unity, that are associated with movement, protections of other organs, and stability. The consists of the bones, joints, and ligaments, and is closely associated with the muscular system.

Bones are attached to one another at a juncture called a joint, with tough fibrous bands known as ligaments. The skeletal muscles are attached to bone with connective bands called tendons. Together, the bones, muscles, and joints form a moving structural system known as the musculoskeletal system. The typical human body has 206 individual bones forming the skeleton.


Forms the physical foundation of the body, composed of 206 bones that vary in size and shape and are connected by movable and immovable joints.
