A congenital condition, in which the organs are not on the usual side of the body, i.e. where the heart is on the right side and not the left.
A right and left reversal or transposition of the abdominal organs. The condition seems to be related to a gene mutation, and a person with situs inversus will often also have congenital heart disease. Surgery will not entirely correct the disease.
The abnormal relation and displacement of viscera to the opposite side of the body.
A rare condition where the internal organs are arranged in a mirror image of their typical positions. No intervention is required as long as all the organs are working as they should.
