An alkaline diet of milk and dry biscuits as a treatment for peptic ulcers [After Bertram Welton Sippy (1866-1924), physician in Chicago, USA].
A therapy for peptic ulcers endorsed by Dr. B. W. Sippy, an American physician (1866-1924). The regimen initially comprises solely milk for the initial three or four days, following which small portions of cereals and eggs are introduced. Food quantities are incrementally raised, and purees are included, eventually leading the patient to return to a regular diet by the 24th day.
