Sensory nerve

A peripheral nerve that conducts impulses from a sense organ to the central nervous system.

A nerve which registers a sensation such as heat, taste or smell and carries impulses to the brain and spinal cord.

Nerve that conducts impulses from the periphery of the body (e.g., from sense organs) to the brain or spinal cord.

Neurological tissue that transmits experiences of sound, light, position, pressure, heat, and cold to the brain.

A nerve that carries information inward, from ah outlying part of the body toward the central nervous system. Different sensory nerves convey information about temperature, pain, touch, taste, etc., to the brain.

A nerve that transmits impulses from receptors to the central nervous system.

A nerve that carries signals from a sense organ to the central nervous system, where the signals are processed or relayed.

Carry impulses or messages from the sense organs to the brain, where sensations of touch, cold, heat, sight, hearing, taste, smell, pain, and pressure are experienced.

Nerves that convey information regarding sensory stimuli.

Sensory or afferent nerves play a crucial role in transmitting sensory impulses from the peripheral or external regions of the body to the brain. These impulses encompass a wide range of sensations, including feelings, perceptions, and awareness of the body’s condition.

Anatomy of a nerve fiber that conveys information from a receptor or sensory organ towards the brain.
