Self-efficacy

A feeling that a person has that he or she can successfully achieve a particular goal.


An aspect of self-perception postulated by Albert Bandura that pertains to one’s belief in his or her ability to perform a given task or behavior.


Self-efficacy is a belief in the ability to successfully take action or perform a specific task.


The belief in one’s abilities and skills to bring about a successful outcome in a given situation.
