A fatal genetic condition due to enzyme deficiencies affecting the breakdown of heparan sulfate. The syndrome is characterized by progressive intellectual disability, mild dwarfism, and other skeletal disorders. Severe neurological deterioration is accompanied by rapid deterioration of social and adaptive skills.
