An official roster, maintained by a governmental or nongovernmental agency, of individuals who have met the requirements set up by the agency as to qualifications (both initial, and, in some cases, continuing) which permit registration (credentials). A person may use her listing on the registry as a credential to display to the public as, for example, in “Registered Dietitian.”
