A statistical term that denotes accuracy by chance or without attention to selection or planning.
A statistical term used in sampling which means that every “element” or “event” in the whole “universe” being sampled has an equal chance of being “drawn.” If a hospital wants to know how well patients like the food, for example, the universe could be all the patients who have been eating it; a random sample would mean that each eater had an equal likelihood of being questioned.
Without order; unpredictable; unintentionally complex.
