A nasal decongestant. Pseudoephedrine is used to relieve the nasal or sinus congestion caused by the common cold, sinusitis, hay fever, and other respiratory allergies. It is also used to relieve ear congestion caused by an ear infection. Pseudoephedrine is available in dozens of products, with and without prescription.
A nasal decongestant medication employed to alleviate nasal congestion. Elevated doses might result in feelings of anxiety, nausea, and dizziness. Infrequently, hypertension, headaches, and palpitations may manifest. It is advisable not to use pseudoephedrine nasal drops for over a week, as doing so could lead to a sudden resurgence of congestion upon discontinuation of the medication.
