Polycystic ovary is a condition characterized by the presence of multiple ovarian cysts. Approximately a quarter of females have asymptomatic ovarian cysts. However, in some women, ovarian cysts are linked to menstrual irregularities and other symptoms, leading to the diagnosis of polycystic ovary syndrome.
