Plutonium

A radio active element obtained from neptunium, which in turn is obtained from uranium; atomic weight of the most stable isotope is 244; atomic number 94.

A naturally occurring radioactive metal found exclusively in uranium ores; it can also be generated synthetically in breeder reactors. This element serves as fuel in both nuclear reactors and nuclear weaponry. When introduced into the body, it poses significant toxicity due to its emission of substantial radiation levels. It gets absorbed into the bone marrow and can persist there for extended periods.
