Phentolamine

A drug that blocks the action of vasopressin in terms of its stimulatory effect on glycogenolysis.


A drug that dilates blood vessels and is used to reduce blood pressure in pheochromocytoma and to treat conditions of poor circulation, such as Raynaud’s disease and chilblains. It is administered by mouth or injection; side-effects include fast heart beat and digestive upsets.
