Pes cavus

Known popularly as claw-foot, this is a deformity in which the foot has an abnormally high arch and the tips of the toes are turned under. Pes cavus may be present at birth or it can be caused by disruption of or damage to the blood and nerve supplies to the foot muscles. The use of a specially made insole in the shoe may help, but surgery is sometimes needed.

A foot that has an abnormally heightened arch curve.
