Perineum

The area between the anus and the genitals.


Floor of pelvic cavity or area between external genitals and anus.

The perineum is the area contained within the bony structures that encircle the pelvic floor, supporting the pelvis. Internally, it extends from the coccyx at the back to the pubic symphysis at the front of the body, including the lower portions of the genitourinary and gastrointestinal systems. Externally, the perineum extends from the genitals to the anus.


The area located between the anus and the vulva or between the anus and the scrotum.
