Pediatric-aged patient

The pediatric patient includes distinct stages throughout their developmental process. The initial four weeks following birth are referred to as the neonatal period, followed by infancy, which encompasses the first year of life. Childhood spans from 13 months until the onset of puberty, occurring between the ages of 12 and 15 years in girls, and 13 and 16 years in boys.
