  • Connivent

    Two or more parts that are separated at the base but come together (but are not fused) distally. Brought close together.  

  • Connective

    The part of a stamen between and connecting the anther cells, distinct from the filament; sometimes called the filament extension between the thecae. That portion of the anther that connects its cells. Connecting or binding together, as connective tissue.  

  • Connate

    United, used when structures or organs of the same kind are joined margin to margin (e.g. connate petals); (Of leaves) where a pair are united at base. Fused or united with other surfaces of the same type (as opposed to adnate).  

  • Conjugate

    Coupled, connected. A molecule created by fusing together (e.g., via recombination or chemically) two unlike (different) molecules. The purpose of this is to create a molecule in which one of the original molecules has one function, for example, a toxic, cell-killing function, while the other original molecule has another function, such as targeting the toxin…

  • Conical

    Cone-shaped, more or less.  

  • Conglutinate

    As if glued together.  

  • Conglomerate

    Clustered. An aggregation in one mass.  

  • Congested

    Congested

    Crowded. With blood or fluid inside. Containing an abnormal amount of blood or tissue fluid. An accumulation of an excessive amount of blood in a specific area, leading to a condition of congestion.  

  • Congeneric

    Belonging to the same genus.  

  • Congener

    Another species within the same genus. Chemical compounds that are the by products or waste products from the distillation of alcohol. Two or more muscles with the same function.
