Plants grown for commercial purposes. A mass planting, usually of annual plants and usually running into acres at a time, grown for food or some other economic purpose. Crop plants are species commonly grown in this way, for example, wheat, potatoes, sunflowers.  

Term in an IUCN Red List for plants that are on the brink of extinction.  

With a crest, a narrow band of stiff hairs or a narrow irregular ridge.  

Curled or ruffled, e.g. of a leaf margin.  

With a tuft of hairs [unusual term]. Furnished with long hairs.  

(Colour) deep red with a slight tinge of purple.  

Pleated; Sometimes used to include crumpled, but crimped is more regular.  

Narrow fissures or splits in rock or bark. A small fissure or crack.
