In sociology, those elected officials of a community who are mandated to make decisions on behalf of the people; common council, board of supervisors, board of health, state legislature, mayor, and governor, power structure.

A group of personal attributes and social attributes held to constitute a distinct personality.

Authoritarian parents
Parents who believe children’s behavior should be closely regulated and who are likely to use power-assertive discipline methods, permissive parents; authoritative parents. Parents who allow their children a great deal of freedom, but at the same time, consistently enforce some rules and standards of conduct, authoritarian parents; permissive parents.

A person who behaves toward subordinates in a controlling and dictatorial manner, authoritarianism.
