Correspondence study
Now largely obsolete, in education, learning by written assignments that are mailed to the instructor for grading and comments.

Correlational studies
Studies dealing with the extent to which two or more variables covary. Also called observational studies; research studies that can determine the strength and direction of relationships between two or more variables but not their causal relationships.

A method of psychological investigation in which the attempt is to discover the interrelationships among response measures, correlational studies.

Correlation analysis
Ascertaining whether or not a relationship exists between two variables.

Correlated hypothesis
Any of a variety of hypotheses entertained by subjects in experiments on verbal conditioning that attributes reward to some form of behavior other than that being reinforced, but leads to reward more often than would happen by chance because the behavior is somehow related to what is being rewarded.
