    The logic used to judge the value of arguments that combine propositions, e.g., “if- then” arguments, “both-and” arguments, and “either-or” arguments.

    A significant factor in scientific theory construction. A statement about a concept or about the relationship between concepts. A proposition may be an assumption, a premise, a theorem, or a hypothesis.
