  • Tension of obligation

    Inflammation and swelling of tendons. A painful inflammation of the tendon sheath and the tendon inside.     A squalid apartment building, usually defined as one in which several, unrelated families share the same facilities, such as the bathroom.  

  • Temporary mandibular joint dysfunction

    A condition of the jaw characterized by pain and clicking in the jaw. Pain may also radiate to the neck and other parts of the head.  

  • Temporal summation

    A form of summation in which two impulses arriving at a synapse in very rapid succession add in strength and cross it spatial summation.  

  • Temporal maze

    A maze in which an organism must respond differently to the same portion of the maze, depending on previous behavior spatial maze.  

  • Temporal artery

    The arteries located on either side of the face in front of the ear supplying blood to the scalp. Any of three arteries on each side of the head. Blood vessel that brings oxygenated blood to the brain. A branch of the external carotid artery that supplies blood mainly to the temple and scalp.  

  • Temperature method

    A periodic abstinence method of birth control that relies on the correlation between body temperature and the ovulation process to determine a woman’s safe period or infertility days in her menstrual cycle.  

  • Temperature inversion

    A phenomenon in which a layer of cool air is trapped under a layer of warm air. Pollutants also become trapped and are subjected to the action of sunlight, which produces additional pollutants. The condition that occurs when a layer of cool air near the ground is trapped under a layer of warm air.
