Unconscious interference
A process to explain certain perceptual phenomena such as size constancy. An object is perceived to be in the distance and is, there-fore, unconsciously perceived as larger than it appears to be retinally shape constancy.

Unconscious action
Behavior in which a person is experiences no sensory awareness.

Unconditioned stimulus
The activator (stimulus) that elicits the unconditioned response in classical conditioning. Any stimulus that elicits an unconditioned response (i.e., a response that occurs by reflex rather than by learning).
