A chemical substance that reduces or stops the activity of the nerves that control the widening or narrowing of the blood vessels. An agent that decreases the action of vasomotor nerves. An agent that suppresses vasomotor nerves.

Agent that dilates blood vessels.

Reduction or loss of muscular control of blood vessel walls. An inhibitory impact on blood flow.

The arteries that pass radially from interior of spinal cord to its surface.

Narrowing of blood vessels. Causing constriction of the blood vessels. Inducing the narrowing of blood vessels.

Vasoactive
Affecting caliber of blood vessels. Having an effect on the blood vessels, especially constricting the arteries. Affecting the diameter of blood vessels, especially arteries. Examples of vasoactive agents are emotion, pressure, carbon dioxide, and temperature. Some exert their effect directly, others via the vasomotor center in the brain.
