  • Fresh frozen plasma

    Plasma made from freshly donated blood, and kept frozen. The fluid portion of one unit of human blood that has been centrifuged, separated, and frozen solid within 6 hours of collection.  

  • Frenotomy

    An operation to split a frenum. Division of any frenum, especially for tongue-tie.

    Exercises for people who have locomotor ataxia, to teach coordination of the muscles and limbs.

  • Freeze

    To anaesthetise part of the body (informal). The process of drastically lowering the temperature of a food until the liquid particles solidify into ice is known as freezing. This technique is often employed to preserve food from spoilage.

    With brown spots on the skin.  

  • Frail

    Weak, easily broken.  

  • Fragilitas ossium

    A hereditary condition where the bones are brittle and break easily, similar to osteogenesis imperfecta.  

  • Fragilitas

    Fragility or brittleness. Abnormal brittleness or fragility, for example of the hair (fragilitas crinium) or the bones (fragilitas ossium).
