Mindblown: a blog about philosophy.

  • Orbitome

The Picker multidirectional tomographic system is engineered to perform various types of tomographic slices, including hypocycloidal, trispiral, circular, rectilinear, transverse, longitudinal, and diagonal.

  • Orbital electron

An electron in motion, revolving around the nucleus of an atom in a specific orbit.

  • Optiplanimat

The Siemens automated unit, capable of performing planigraphy, zonography, and Bucky radiography in various tilt positions ranging from +110 to -90 degrees.

  • Open core transformer

The primary and secondary coils, both extensively insulated from one another, are wound around separate iron cores that are not electrically connected.

  • Open circuit

An electrical circuit that has been disrupted, resulting in the absence of a complete pathway for the flow of current.

  • Opaque media

Any contrast substance that can be administered or introduced into the body.

  • Oil-cooled tube

An electron tube designed to dissipate the generated heat through the utilization of oil.

  • Ohm

The unit of electric resistance is defined as the resistance through which a current, composed of electrons, with a magnitude of one ampere, will flow when a voltage, corresponding to a pressure of one volt, is applied.

  • O electron

An electron occupying an orbit within the O shell, which corresponds to the fifth electron shell encircling the atomic nucleus when counted outward from the nucleus.

  • Octet rule

This principle is applicable to the semiconductor component of the solid-state rectifier, wherein the atoms of the semiconductor engage in the sharing of their valence electrons, typically totaling eight electrons.
