    Antidepressant drug used in the treatment of depression, obsessive-compulsive disorders, and in attention-deficit disorder. Although widely touted as being safer than its predecessors, some patients receiving this drug have developed insomnia, anorexia, and worsened depression.   • Flunisolide

    Inhaled corticosteroid anti-inflammatory agent used in the treatment of asthma; side effects may include suppression of adrenal gland secretion during patient transfer from oral steroids.  

  • Flumazenil

    Injectable benzodiazepine antagonist that reverses sedation associated with either clinical use or abuse of these drugs; potential side effects include seizures, especially in patients who have overdosed on both benzodiazepines.  

  • Floxuridine

    Antineoplastic drug used to treat certain cancers. Adverse effects include alopecia, dermatitis, gastrointestinal disturbances, and depression of bone marrow function. A drug, similar in action and side-effects to fluorouracil, used to treat cancers of the digestive system. It is administered by injection. An antimetabolite used to treat solid cancers (e.g., adenocarcinomas).  

  • Flosequinan

    Vasodilator indicated in the treatment of congestive heart failure; potential side effects include headache, dizziness, palpitation, taste disturbance, tachycardia, and vomiting.
