  • Hydroflumethiazide

    Diuretic used to treat hypertension and edema. Adverse effects include electrolyte imbalances. A diuretic used to treat fluid retention (edema) and high blood pressure. It is administered by mouth and may cause skin reactions, digestive upsets, dizziness, and weakness.

    Excess fluid volume, compared with cell volume of the blood. The presence in the blood of more than the normal proportion of water. An excess of watery fluid in the blood. A diluted form of the bloodstream with a watery consistency.

    Abnormality of pregnancy in which there is an excess of amniotic fluid surrounding the fetus; sometimes associated with toxemia of pregnancy or diabetes mellitus in the mother, multiple pregnancy, or fetal disorder.
