  • Context of care

  • Risk for contamination

    Accentuated risk of exposure to environmental contaminants in doses sufficient to cause adverse health effects.  

  • Radiation contamination

    Radiation in or on a place where it is not wanted.  

  • Contactant

    A substance that produces an allergic or sensitivity response when it contacts the skin directly.  

  • Proximal contact

    Touching of teeth on their adjacent surfaces.  

  • Occlusal contact

    The normal contact between teeth when the maxilla and mandible are brought together in habitual or centric occlusion.  

  • Complete contact

    The contact that occurs when the entire proximal surface of a tooth touches the entire surface of an adjoining tooth, proximally.  

  • Consummation

    The first act of sexual intercourse after marriage.  

  • Legal nurse consultant

    A registered nurse who provides expert information to lawyers or others involved in health care legal issues. These consultants must have either an advanced degree or certification through special programs.  

  • Consultand

    A person who requests genetic counseling.
