Any form of contraception placed within the reproductive tract of a woman, including intrauterine devices (IUDs) and vaginal rings.

Extended cycle contraception
A form of oral contraception that reduces the number of menstrusil cycles in which contraceptive hormones are taken for more than 28 consecutive days (e.g., 84 days) and a placebo is taken for seven days. During the seven days of placebo, menstrual bleeding occurs.
