  • Hyperguanidinemia

    An abnormal amount of guanidine in the blood.  

  • Hypergraphia

    A compulsion to write. It is found in persons with temporal lobe epilepsy and right hemispheric strokes a strokes and tumors, among other brain disorders.  

  • Hyperglycogenolysis

    Excessive conversion of glycogen into glucose by hydrolysis.  

  • Hyperglycinemia

    An accumulation of glycine in the blood. It is caused by a congenital defect in the ability to metabolize the amino acid glycine. There are at least six forms of this disease, all of which are associated with mental and growth retardation.  

  • Stress-induced hyperglycemia

    A transient rise in blood glucose to abnormally high concentrations during acute illness, such as infection or myocardial infarction; trauma, such as burns; or stroke.  

  • Hyperglandular

    Having excessive glandular secretions.  

  • Hypergenitalism

    An excessive development of the genital organs, caused by disturbances in endocrine secretions of the adrenal gland or gonads or by hypothalamic disorders.  

  • Hypergamy

    The tendency of women to reproduce with men of equal or higher social standing.  

  • Hypergammaglobulinemia

    An excessive amount of immunoglobulin G (IgG) in the blood. It may occur in patients with monoclonal gammopathy, multiple myeloma, and in some chronic infections.  

  • Hyperfractionation

    the treatment of a tumor with radiation applied in several small doses several hours apart on the same day instead of in a once-a-day dose. Hyper-fractionation decreases the side effects of delivery and may permit a tumor to be treated with a greater total radiation dose than traditional fractionation.
