Primary hyperoxaluria
An inherited metabolic disease caused by a defect in glyoxalate metabolism. This causes an increased secretion of oxalate in the urine, renal calculi, renal failure, and generalized deficit of oxalate crystals in tissues.

Enteric hyperoxaluria
Hyperoxaluria caused by disease or surgical removal of the ileum.

Increased oxalic acid in the urine.

The production of a large number of ova, usually in response to hormonal stimulation.

Infantile cortical hyperostosis
An increased growth of subperiosteal bone occurring most frequently in the mandible and clavicles, accompanied by fever and irritability.

Frontal internal hyperostosis
An osteoma, usually multiple or arising from the internal area of the frontal bone.

Hyperorthocytosis
Increased white blood cells with normal proportion of various forms and without immature forms.

Hyperorality
Excessive chewing, sucking, lip smacking, or food craving. It is seen in some neurological disorders (e.g., Kluver-Bucy syndrome and Pick’s disease).

Total hyperopia
Complete hyperopia combining both latent and manifest types; the amount of hyperopia present when accommodation is completely suspended by paralyzing the ciliary muscle, which is done by use of a cycloplegic drug.

Relative hyperopia
Hyperopia in which vision is clear only when excessive convergence is made.
